Beneteau 473 - Caca Fuego

The all new Beneteau 473 combines extraordinary interior comfort, volume and light with bluewater strength. Designed by Groupe Finot, this brand new design offers a unique combination of elegant lines with exceptional space and performance. You will find that the 473 boasts more features and creature comforts than ever before built in a boat this size. She is, above all, a bluewater sailing yacht, performing as well as she looks as she cuts through the water.

The European styling of the 473 is most evident from the stern, which is incredibly wide for a boat of its size. There are twin steering wheels, which allow for excellent visibility and ease of handling, and lots of room between them in the very spacious cockpit. The cockpit is big and elegant enough to dine comfortable under the stars and Beneteau takes this one step further with a new, patented, removable cockpit table.

Her interior is an amazing combination of volume and light with headroom of 6’8”. The fore head has a shower stall and an entrance from the forward stateroom. The 2 aft cabins are symmetrical and spacious. The panoramic decklights flood the interior with natural light. The galley is well-equipped and well-designed, and includes a laminated work surface, stainless steel guardrail, 5.6 cubic feet GRP icebox with 12v fridge and freezer, 2 stainless steel sinks, a pressurized hot and cold water mixer tap and a 3 burner LPG oven and grill. There are plenty of storage cabinets along the hull sides.

Her rigging is classic and efficient: a masthead furling genoa (drum on deck) guarantees the necessary power for an easy passage. The full battened mainsail is equipped with lazy jacks, facilitating both furling and sail reduction when necessary, whilst conserving the efficiency and pleasure of the classic mainsail. All halyards and reefing lines are led back to the cockpit.

Her deck layout reflects the spirit of comfort and efficiency that has prevailed in the 473 from her concept: teak-capped bulkhead for elegance and safety, electric windlass half sunk into the anchor well, thereby providing the best position for raising the anchor chain, large sunbathing area forward, and uncluttered sidedecks with ample handrails and wide walkways.

This design provides the best blend of performance, length and accommodation for a 47-footer. Comfortably lodging six, with a spacious main saloon and galley, this is a perfect yacht for 3 couples or families.
