Beneteau 42 - Gitana
Gitana is a 43-foot design from Group Finot, world renowned yacht designers. With three double cabins and two heads, Gitana provides excellent accommodation and after a day's sailing, the sprung mattresses in two of her cabins will provide superb comfort. You will enjoy the atmosphere below created by the traditional cherrywood finish. Particular attention has been paid to the three cabins. They are spacious and have generous headroom. The large heads and shower in the forecabin provide a separate suite. The aft cabins are well lit with hatches and ports. All cabins have generous hanging and stowage lockers.
Her ample water capacity ensures you do not have to take on water too often. The large and spacious salon and galley are equipped with panoramic hatches and have blinds built into the deck moulding which ensure excellent light. The blue cloth upholstery provides an elegant and comfortable salon. She is equipped with dockside air conditioning and all cabins have fans. The galley is well designed and equipped with a refrigerator, two stainless steel sinks, a microwave and three ring cooker with oven and grill.
The large and comfortable cockpit has a step down transom with shower and swim ladder to provide easy access in and out of the water. There is also a separate locker for storage of snorkel gear. The large table is an ideal site for dinner on warm Caribbean evenings. Her wide side decks ensure easy access to the sunbathing area forward.
The Beneteau 423 is well known for her sailing performance, and with her fully battened main and larger winches, is a joy to sail. With Ray Marine instruments, autopilot and a chart plotter, she is safe and easy to maneuver. This is an ideal yacht for three couples and is also easily handled by a crew of two.
