The
Island Spirit 40
The Island
Spirit 40 is an attractive, spacious and comfortable
cruising catamaran from South Africa. Her interior
is meticulously detailed with a light airy feel –
the salon has opening portholes and includes a navigation
center and chart table adjacent to the helm. There
is an ample entertainment center with an oversize
galley, refrigerator/freezer, eight seater settee
and dining table. There are four double cabins complete
with wardrobe and lockers located in each of the fore
and aft hulls. The two heads and showers are conveniently
located at the center of the hulls. Above decks, the
ample sail area gives the Island Spirit 400 a surprising
turn of speed and the thoughtful arrangement of deck
gear makes sail handling a pleasure. All Controls
are close to the wheel and steering light and responsive.
The roomy cockpit, wide swim platforms and uncluttered
decks and anti-skid finish with ample sunbathing space
on the coachroof and trampoline make for a most pleasurable
sailing vacation vessel.
