The Lagoon 420 is a ground breaking and innovative concept of a catamaran from the designers Van Peteghem and Lauriot Prévost. Powered by sail or two electric motors, this is the first catamaran of its kind that will be available for charter in the BVI offering four queen size cabins with four spacious heads and four separate shower rooms.
The air-conditioned interior is exceptionally bright and roomy with large windows allowing maximum light into the saloon and cabins. There is ample seating around a dining table or interchangeable coffee table in the saloon for all guests, a separate navigation centre and a comprehensive galley that communicates sociably with the cockpit area through a sliding window and bar counter. Above decks the cockpit, perfectly shaded with a rigid bimini, has a u-shaped seating arrangement around a cockpit table with the helm station located to starboard.
The two electric motors are connected to the propellers by straight shaft transmissions and power is supplied by two sets of 6 batteries. The batteries are charged by the 21Kw generator or by the propellers when under sail.
